Irma was known for her love of dancing, her joyous sense of humor, her great energy, spirit, and faith, and her pride in her family and home. Luis vowed never to let her go and they were wed in Reno, Nevada on September 11, 1948, and were happily inseparable until the day she would leave us. It was here that fate would intervene and at another dance, their paths would cross again. It was while attending a dance in Juarez in 1946 that she was fleetingly introduced to the handsome young man, Luis, who was enchanted by her beauty. ![]() Irma was born on Augin Miami, Arizona to the late Manuel and Guadalupe Guerrero Christy. Irma was predeceased by her daughter, Evelyn. ![]() She is survived by her adoring husband of 63 years, Luis her son Louie (Isabel) and daughters Elma Kastning (Floyd) and Veronica (Sean) her treasured grandchildren Roman (Carley) and Ryan (Kayla Jean) Rico, and Benjamin and Emilia Kastning great-grandchildren Cayden, Mariah and Brody Rico and her sisters Alicia Rodgriguez and Olga Arroyo. Irma Christy Rico passed away peacefully on at home in Alameda, California, surrounded by her loved ones.
